Every firearm that leaves this bench was built by one set of hands, and those hands stand behind it. This page is the full text of the warranty referenced across our site, in our Terms of Service, and in our Refund & Returns Policy.
What’s Covered
Every firearm built by Embach Armory (custom kit builds, build services performed on your kit, and completed firearms from our inventory) is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in craftsmanship and function for the lifetime of the build. Craftsmanship means the work of the bench: riveting, welding, trunnion fitting, barrel installation and headspace, sight and gas system alignment, 922(r) configuration, and finish application. If a defect in that work ever causes a problem, at round 100 or at round 10,000, we repair it. No time limit, no service fee.
Surplus Components
Our builds start from genuine military surplus. Every kit is inspected, gauged, and hand-selected before it becomes a rifle, but surplus steel has history we didn’t write. Surplus and wear components (springs, extractors, firing pins, and similar) are covered against hidden, pre-existing defects for one year from transfer. After that, if a surplus component fails through no fault of the build, we repair or replace it at cost, with priority bench time. You will never own a rifle we built with no path to fix it.
What’s Not Covered
- Normal wear, including finish wear. Parkerizing, Gun-Kote, and lacquer finishes wear with honest use; that is patina, not a defect.
- The cosmetic condition of surplus components. Arsenal marks and tool history are the product, not a flaw.
- Damage from corrosive ammunition without prompt cleaning, from reloaded or improper ammunition, or from squib and obstruction events.
- Modification or gunsmithing work performed by anyone other than Embach Armory.
- Damage from abuse, neglect, accident, or improper storage.
- Consignment and used firearms, which are sold as is unless the listing states otherwise.
- Retail parts and accessories (magazines, muzzle devices, furniture), which carry their manufacturers’ warranties and the exchange terms in our Refund & Returns Policy.
How a Claim Works
Contact us first at embacharmory@gmail.com or 972-835-3380 with a description of the issue and photos. Do not ship anything without authorization. We will confirm coverage and send shipping instructions. Under federal law, you may ship your firearm directly to us for warranty work, and we ship it directly back to you; no FFL transfer is required on either leg. Never include ammunition in the shipment. On approved claims we cover repair labor, parts, and return shipping.
Remedy
We repair first. Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or, at our discretion, replacement of the defective work or component.
The Legal Lines
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state. Where permitted by law, implied warranties are limited to the duration of this written warranty, and incidental or consequential damages are excluded; some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. This is the express warranty referenced in Section 9 of our Terms of Service.
