Description

The M72B1 is Embach Armory’s custom kit build based on the Yugoslavian-manufactured variant of the Soviet RPK light machine gun — a 7.62×39mm squad automatic weapon developed by Zastava Arms in the 1970s as a licensed and modified evolution of the Soviet RPK, replacing the M53 (Yugoslavia’s MG42 clone) in squad automatic weapon roles within the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA).

Every M72 is hand-built by Christian Embach from a genuine Yugo Wars-era surplus parts kit, to your exact specifications.

▸ The Build

Each M72 is built to order and fully 922(r) compliant, with U.S.-made compliance parts including the FCG, receiver, barrel, and muzzle device. Rivets are set on a hydraulic press, trunnions are pinned and squared, and the barrel is pressed and headspaced before final finish and function-check. Each build is inspected before it ships.

Every M72 is built to your specifications. Choose from a range of receiver, barrel, fire control group, muzzle device, and finish options to configure a rifle that is truly your own. If a shorter barrel or aftermarket stock is selected, the original bipod and stock from the surplus kit will be included with the completed rifle.
