Harrington & Richardson Handi-Rifle — .35 Whelen — Pre-Owned Break-Action Single Shot with Mounted Optic

$750.00

For the hunter who wants to hit hard without breaking the bank, the H&R Handi-Rifle in .35 Whelen is a uniquely capable package — a break-action single-shot in a hard-hitting medium-bore caliber that historically punched well above its price point. The .35 Whelen, derived from the .30-06 case necked up to .35 caliber, was wildcatted in 1922 and standardized as a SAAMI cartridge by Remington in 1988. It pushes a 200-grain bullet to roughly 2,700 fps and a 250-grain bullet to about 2,500 fps — serious medium-bore performance for elk, moose, black bear, and most North American game.

This particular rifle came out of Harrington & Richardson’s Ilion, NY plant, placing production in the Remington-era of H&R (roughly 2008 through about 2015, when the Handi-Rifle was discontinued in the wake of Remington’s restructuring). Serialized CBA 198264.
