The M72B1 is Embach Armory’s custom kit build based on the Yugoslavian-manufactured variant of the Soviet RPK light machine gun — a 7.62×39mm squad automatic weapon developed by Zastava Arms in the 1970s as a licensed and modified evolution of the Soviet RPK, replacing the M53 (Yugoslavia’s MG42 clone) in squad automatic weapon roles within the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA).

Each M72 is built to order and fully 922r compliant, with U.S.-made compliance parts including the FCG, receiver, barrel, and muzzle device. The result is a mechanically faithful, legally configured rifle built to the exacting standards Embach Armory is known for. Perfect rivets, flawless pin work, a precisely fitted mag-well, and a finish that speaks for itself — every single time.

Every M72 is built to your specifications. Choose from a range of receiver, barrel, fire control group, muzzle device, and finish options to configure a rifle that is truly your own. If a shorter barrel or aftermarket stock is selected, the original bipod and stock from the surplus kit will be included with the completed rifle.

▸ Ordering & Shipping

Lead time: All custom M72 orders ship within 3–6 weeks from date of purchase when building with a Morrissey M72 receiver. Selecting a Childers Guns or Recreator Blanks receiver will add approximately 4 additional weeks to the lead time.

FFL required: This firearm must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer. Please set your shipping address to your FFL of choice and email a copy of their FFL license to embacharmory@gmail.com referencing your order number.
